Privacy Policy

What the app stores, and where
Room scans, floor plans, edits, exports and settings are stored locally on
your device, inside the app's own storage. PlanShot does not upload this
content anywhere, and we have no ability to access it. Deleting the app
deletes this data; you can also create local backup files
(.planshot) yourself, which stay wherever you choose to save
or share them.
Camera and LiDAR
Scanning uses your device's camera and LiDAR sensor through Apple's RoomPlan technology. Processing happens on the device. The app saves the resulting room geometry (walls, openings, dimensions) — it does not save or transmit photos or video from the scanning session.
Purchases
Payments are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details.
To unlock Pro features after a purchase, the app uses RevenueCat, a purchase-validation service. When the app checks a purchase, RevenueCat receives the App Store receipt, a random identifier generated by the app (not your name, email or Apple ID), and basic device information such as model, OS version and locale. It does not receive your scans, plans or any content you create. RevenueCat's handling of this data is described in the RevenueCat privacy policy.
Sharing and exports
When you export or share a plan, backup or 3D model, the file goes only where you send it (Files, Mail, AirDrop, and so on) using the standard iOS share sheet. That's always your action — the app never shares anything on its own.
Diagnostics from Apple
If you have opted in to sharing analytics with app developers in your iOS settings, Apple may provide us with aggregated crash reports and usage statistics. These come from Apple, are not tied to your identity by us, and contain none of your scan content.
Support email
If you email us at hello@planshot.app, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use it to help you and for nothing else. We don't sell it or add it to marketing lists.
Children
PlanShot is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
If the app's behavior changes in a way that affects privacy — for example, if a future version adds optional crash reporting — we will update this policy and the "last updated" date above before that version ships.
